I’ve been unhappy about the white wall behind our bed for monthes, until I found the inspiration (thanks Pinterest!): a selection of pictures hanging on a linen rope. Easy to put in place and to update from time to time with new pics, both me and my SO are really happy with the result!

Adoro Parigi, ogni volta che la lascio penso già a tutto quello che mi sono persa, e quando riuscirò a tornarci!
Ma soprattutto, quando ami qualcosa, hai voglia di condividerla con chi è importante per te. Quindi, non potendo più sopportare di vivere con qualcuno che non l’avesse mai vista, ho portato il mio ragazzo a Parigi. A questo punto si trattava solo di trovare un compromesso tra le classiche mete turistiche (sovraffollate, visto che per una sfortunata coincidenza siamo partiti proprio il weekend del primo Maggio), e qualcosa di meno scontato, che fosse nuovo anche per me.
Ultimamente prima di partire per un viaggio chiedo a chi è già stato nella mia destinazione di indicarmi su una mappa di Google i posti da visitare, dove mangiare, o bere. E’ il sistema migliore per scoprire cose nuove anche dove si è già stati.
Ecco dunque alcuni spunti che deviano un pochino dalle mete più classiche.
Una passeggiata lungo la Senna. Sotto proprio, vicino all’acqua, magari nel tratto poco oltre Notre Dame, di fronte all’Ile Saint-Luis. Ci sono scorci meravigliosi, e se c’è il sole è particolarmente piacevole.
Perdersi al cimitero di Pere Lachaise. Si è un cimitero. No, non è lugubre. Ci sono le tombe di scrittori (O. Wilde, M. Proust,..), compositori (Chopin,..), cantanti (M. Callas,…). Passeggiare in mezzo a tanti nomi importanti è un’esperienza particolare.
Bere un té alla mente nel cortile della Moschea. Certo, non è tipicamente Francese, ma questa Moschea vale davvero una visita, per la sensazione di serenità che porta. Sul retro ci sono un bar ed un ristorante con un cortile ombreggiato pieno di uccellini.
Passeggiare a La Défense la domenica mattina. È il quartiere degli affari, coi suoi grattacieli ultramoderni. La Domenica non c’è nessuno, salvo qualche bambino che approfitta della giostra dal fascino romantico, in forte contrasto con il vetro ed il cemento intorno. Interessante soprattutto per chi cerca scorci fotografici particolari.
Visitare l’Opera. Spesso ci si limita a vederla da fuori, ma vi assicuro che dentro è meravigliosa!
Mangiare in uno dei mille ristoranti Giapponesi lungo Rue Sainte-Anne. Noi siamo stati all’Higuma, ma la scelta è ampia!
Questi sono solo alcuni pezzetti della Parigi che abbiamo visitato, ma hanno contribuito a rendere meno turistico il nostro weekend.
